Steelers season ticket holders will have the opportunity to shop their seat licenses through a new Web site.

The Steelers announced the creation of the Pittsburgh Steelers Seat Licenses Marketplace on Wednesday as part of a partnership with STR Marketplace.

Those trying to sell their season tickets and fans looking to buy them will be able to do so without having to worry about fraud, according to the Steelers. All listings and transactions on the STR site are verified by the Steelers.

A limited number of Steelers seat licenses are sold each year, team spokesman Dave Lockett said.

"We think it's a great opportunity to provide our seat license holders with an opportunity to post and sell their seat licenses at a safe place and a secure location," Lockett said, "and also provide our fans who are interested in purchasing season tickets a safe and secure location to find available seats."

The Steelers are the sixth NFL franchise to team up with STR Marketplace.
